Auto-Immunity and the Clinical Applications of the Divergent Channels Within  that context of Chinese medicine is the notion of latent pathogens  (biological, psychological, social, and even spiritual) that continue to  challenge the body and its resources. Such an affront to the  Zheng-upright qi has resulted in an ongoing attempt by the body to  either continue to resolve the pathological agent(s) or the render the  process into a dormant/subliminal state. From a channel perspective,  this mechanism is often undertaken by the Jing Bie/Channel Divergences  as a remedy to offset acute life-threatening destruction, though their  reactions often lead to the manifestations of chronic and usually  intractable conditions that are often treated mostly through management  within the Western medical paradigm. By understanding the Jing Bie,  participants are offered an opportunity to understand what is often  referred to as auto-immune conditions and more importantly, ways to  mitigate and address their chronicity and progression. This seminar is  intended to delve deeper into the Jing Bie for those who have already  been exposed to these channels and offer clinical insights from a  seasoned practitioner.
