EVENT DETAILS:

Live Event: October 13th - 15th, 2023 (Fri - Sun)

Online Viewing for CEU: Oct. 13th - 24th, 2023

Daoist Inner Work - Cultivation and Practice: Essential in the practice of Daoism is not simply the reflections on Daoist philosophy but the conscious internalization of its guiding principles as they are expressed through everyday life (where life itself is a ritual). While such an approach may not be 24/7, it is the continuous practice through such time-honored disciplines like qigong, meditation, diet, and even sex that has ingrained these Daoist beliefs in the adept. However, oftentimes, practitioners are simply following the modes of these practices, sprinkled with the jargon of Daoism, but without any firm grasp of the deep intentions originally accorded to their developments. Following the axiom, zhong yao bu zhong xing 重意不重形 (what is important is intention and not necessarily the form), this seminar will focus on the cultivational intentions of different Daoist "rituals" to initiate, invoke, and enliven the yi- consciousness pursuant to these practices. While each individual has their own "path" with the ideal method being that which is spontaneous, sometimes such a "path" needs a cheerleader, if not at least a jumpstart.
