CRANIAL NERVES & CHINESE THERAPEUTIC MANIPULATION
In the prospects of integrating Chinese medicine with Western medicine, ongoing efforts have been conducted to correlate how to apply each system to better understand, enrich, and bring innovations toward each medical paradigm. Such endeavors have at times resulted in deeper insights as evidenced by research and clinical findings. With that aspiration, this seminar will explore the role and application of Chinese medicine to unraveling the 12 cranial nerves and how to access, train (or retrain), and manipulate these nerves for wellness, maintenance, rehabilitation, and treatment. While innovative techniques have been developed in the West, such as cranial sacral therapy and neuro-muscular releases, many in the West are not familiar with similar and yet different techniques that have evolved within Chinese medicine. This seminar will introduce and train participants in working with the cranial nerves from the perspective of acupuncture channels and ZangFu theory through the different modalities of Chinese medicine and how such an understanding and approach can lead to better and vibrant self-care and enhance clinical practice.

Although AUCM has not sought approval for CEUs from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the NCCAOM recognizes and accepts CEUs that have been approved by the CAB.
